Indoor Gardening
This video is all about Light for indoor houseplants. I will define low, medium and high light, and give several examples of each throughout my house.

I will also discuss signs of insufficient light, and signs of too much light, and show you examples of each.

LEVELS OF LIGHT:

Low = Full Shade (understory, underbrush)

Medium = Part Sun/ Part Shade (epiphytes, underbrush, saplings, flowering, plants with variegation)

High = Full Sun (trees, cacti, succulents, flowering plants, plants with high variegation/ very little green color)

Signs of Insufficient Light:
– stretching/ leggy
– small growth of new leaves
– leaning toward the light
– losing color on variegated plants (turning green)
– not producing flowers (on flowering plant)

——————————————————————————

Signs of Too Much Light:
– sunburn
– fading color/ leaves turning paler green

***BONUS TIP*** To be discussed more in the next video, Watering:

LESS LIGHT = LESS WATER
